Blocking a pro-fibrotic signal in lung fibroblasts

Abstract

Fibroblasts in the lung make scar tissue in response to pro-fibrotic signals. We designed binders for one such signal and tested them in primary human lung fibroblasts. The best designs reduced a scar marker (collagen I) by more than half at 100 nM.
